Therapy Approach:

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in treating depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I'm also experienced at working with clients with bipolar disorder, sleep problems, chronic pain, eating and body image issues, and more general identity issues. I work with people from all backgrounds and identities and I honor what makes each person unique. One of the most important things I provide is a safe space to explore your issues, with no judgment or pressure.

Here's what you could expect if we work together: I start off with an assessment to fully understand your background, current issues, and what you'd like help with. Based on that assessment, I will craft a plan for how we can meet your goals, and work with you to edit the plan and make sure we're on the same page. I primarily use evidence-based treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques. Therapy is just one hour out of the 168 hours in a week, so I often give a small assignment between sessions, such as practicing what we worked on in session at home. We'll plan together how to fit these small assignments into your day and make sure you have success. Throughout the therapy, I monitor progress in meeting your goals so that we know if we need to try something different. I work collaboratively with you to define therapy success; typically, that looks like experiencing fewer symptoms, engaging in your life in a more meaningful way, and having the confidence to act as your own "therapist" moving forward.

I'd love to be part of your journey toward the life you're looking for.
